In today's paper...

The dull climax of the world's most boring cabinet reshuffle (although, bright side: while some dumped ministers got nice diplomatic postings, one in particular is about to feel the grubby arm of the Indonesian law).

Timor Leste: Capable of holding an election without violence AND they speak Indonesian and like sinetron. Who knew?

Poor people in Indonesia are kind of annoyed that politicians ignore them all the time. Also, they don't want an ex-military man running Jakarta.

Singapore and Indonesia are going to do something about this bird flu thing, dammit.

Oh, and some uppity politicians are suggesting that perhaps it would be nice if the government paid attention to that bit in the consitution where it says that 20 percent of the state budget should be spent on education. As opposed to the current 7 percent.
